Agentic Systems Designer

Build the agents, integrations, and internal systems that make a collective of design firms work in an AI-native way.

Full-time · Copenhagen, Lisbon, or remote (Europe only)

Why this role exists

NORDFY builds AI capability for professional creative and design firms. We’re part of Verka Collective, a growing group of six independent European practices, with around 500 people today and more firms joining on the way to over 1,000.

The most valuable thing we can build is the machinery underneath it all: agents, integrations, and internal systems that let firms work with AI efficiently. You design, build, and ship the systems that help businesses across Verka Collective run in an AI-native way.

What you’ll own

  • Build firm-wide operations integrations and agentic workflows connecting tools, data, and models, including across firms with imperfect APIs and thin documentation.
  • Design where judgment sits, where a human stays in the loop, and how a system fails safely. Make reliability, idempotency, and delivery guarantees part of the design.
  • Take integrations from working to dependable in production, with the patience to handle behaviours that only appear in real use.
  • Document, back up, and hand over everything you build so someone else can operate it. Clients should never depend on knowledge held by one person.

What you bring

  • Production systems that mattered, and a solid grasp of idempotency, retries, delivery guarantees, and where state should live.
  • Experience with MCP servers, agent orchestration, or long-running autonomous workflows is a must.
  • Daily use of agentic coding tools, with a clear understanding of where they work well and where they break.
  • Software others can operate, decisions you can explain and defend, and genuine autonomy over a large domain.

Designer here means someone who architects and ships real systems. If your work is training, slide decks, and mockups rather than production-ready solutions, this is not the role.

A bonus, not a checklist

  • Familiarity with creative, AEC, or design-led organisations.
  • Experience delivering software to professional-services firms.
  • Multilingual comfort across the Nordics and DACH.

What we offer

  • Build the AI layer for a collective growing from around 500 to more than 1,000 people, with real reach into every practice.
  • Use frontier tools in your daily work, with the time to master them.
  • Join a small, senior team with direct access to the collective’s leadership.
  • Meet in person across the collective, alongside the AI Coordinators and Champions in each firm.
  • Develop innovative solutions that benefit the wider architecture, engineering, and construction community.

Contract & location

Salary is competitive and set individually, based on the role, your experience, and the market where you’re based. We employ locally, directly or through an Employer of Record, so your contract, benefits, and pension follow the rules of your country of residence.

Our team hubs are Copenhagen and Lisbon. Living in or moving to one of them is a plus, not a requirement. This is a full-time role for people based in Europe.
